umm hiya, just another wannabe mc ere, but I sometimes have a problem, i sometimes find myself following the same patterns when writing lyrics, so to all of you that write lyrics, how do you keep your stuff original?...al post some lyrics if anyones interested enough. cheers

well id say a lot of mc's really suck, i really like mc sharkey but a lot of them are nothing special, and some have ruined some live shows ive heard, like a scott brown live at brain basher, terrible mc;s in that

I think its too hard to know which MC's are for real and which arent.
Example: If Mc lets say Wotsee was to be at a club somwhere doin his thing and some dude puts him on the spot and wants to battle him and Wotsee says "Naw i dont feel like battling you" Then id kinda lose some respect thinking that he cant think of shit off the top of his head. But if that same sitation comes and Wotsee kicks the $hit outta him with some dope lyrics. Then you can say hes good at what he does.
I appreciate the dudes and girls that can flow from their minds on the spot. not just writing down lyrics then repeatin them over and over. Its fun to freestyle

I like MC's i mean if i get tired of a song like heartbeatz which i hear alot of and just gets annoying sumtime it makes a change to have an mc add sumthin into it. I bought the hardcore heaven finale dvd the other day and i thought storm and whizkidd and all tht did a great job there so go on my MC son.

tunnelrush, i get ya mate, but theres more to it than that, say uve got a rhyme that u know, if u can spit it at the rite time, it can just enhance an already great tune, its about knowin wen to say what, n yea mark, everybody knows it also about knowin wen to shut up, bla bla bla,heard it so many times before, and i definatly agree with u on the freestylin, when i pull one off that sounds sweet,you feel the ...erm..benefit afterward :), but not all freestylin is 100% on-the-spot-original, often its a case of words and phrases that u already know come in to your head, n knowing which of the phrases you shoud say next, until uve made a chain of great mcin.....or a terrible terrible mess, anyway, dont mean to preach, but thats how it is for me.....anyone disagree? say so :)

It can definately spoil a tune if the mc starts chattin over the break thats really anoying, I do think a good mc does add something when your at a party though.
Why don't you follow patterns of other songs (doesn't have to be hardcore) and change the lyrics completly so your only using the pattern don't know if it would work though cuz i don't mc.

no need, am happy to say im no longer havin that problem :) so anyone wanna get some lyrics on here, or is it just me? k, here goes, ive actualy *just* come up with this, think it definatly needs some tweakin though, but anyway ....

I say these rhymes one line at a time they just come out as there on my mind i know wot ur think another mc but tht fact of the matter is im just me so y'all come together and rave with me the lyrical spiritual phil mc so listen up to the hardcore sounds taking you through into the underground taking you up to a new level of high so all shout with me hardcore will never die.

I know what you mean pepe, some words and phrases go great when you bring them together in a rhyme. but you have to admit even when the worst rhyme EVER comes outta ur mouth, its still fun as F*$# to do :)
