yes, because hardcore was never designed to be played to masses...just those that want to live life hard and fast

Yeah I should think your probably right but I think alot of people don't even no what hardcore is if there was more coverage would it grow? We done a birthday for someone who wanted us to play dnb and hip hop I slipped in a hardcore tune and this room full of people who had never heard hardcore before wouldn't let us stop playing it till the end!! true this isn't always the case I know alot of people who hate hardcore but I know alot of people who hate what is played in the charts now.

When I was DJing out in a club well know for being full of Trance heads I was eager to see how they would react if I played Hardcore. So I started at half ten and played them Trance till about twenty past 11 then I stopped dead for a few mins and stuck on Storm and Euphony - Breathe and they all went nuts! So I played Hardcore right till the end!(Half 1) I went through a whole range of different types of Hardcore tunes (Plus System - This is how we do it, Geos- Easy Inside ect)

But I'm sure in some clubs if I had done that it might not have gone down to well and probably would have had to switch back to Trance!

But yeh I agree with you that quite alot of people still think of Hardcore as the Happy stuff when it has completly changed!

yeah I think alot more people can get into the new sound as its alot less cheesy. I think that cheesy hardcore is excellent myself but alot of people don't and I think the increase in people listening to hardcore goes to show that people are starting to like the new sound, but many people would go through life without ever hearing it.

i'd like to think that there is more to come, but its gotta be said, hardcore has seemed pretty one track as of recent; obviously the old sub genre differences but within each sub genre it hsa remained the same.

Not many DJ's have been willing to push out the boats and horizons for Hardcore. However, its growing popularity might see it slowly creep out into the open and as something new.

I hasten to add though, i hope it doesn't start gettin too commercialised; it'll just ruin the thing that got the most of us into it.

oh well, only time will tell i guess!

Always remember; you are unique, just like everyone else

Only cuz of the the countless dj's and producers that have been bringin us hardcore for so long id say id like the scene to grow bigger and bigger.

But the media always has a way of killing things (Radios play the same songs all the time, Cheesy advertisements) so in the same sense i dont mind if im the only one around my town listening to hardcore.

But yea i think hardcore has better days in store for the future

<*>WHAT?! Im sorry, I can't hear you cuz my Hardcore's too loud, ur gonna have to shut up!"<*>
