Yeah, as you may know....hurricanes....
After more then a 100 yrs a hurricane menace to hit Aruba. I never thought I would live to experience a hurricane on my island, this is devastating news.

I or my radiostation broke the news to the island that its coming this way and everybody gave an ignorant reaction like its not true yata yata. Other newscast too said that we created panic on the island. We broke the news before the meteorological service, and afterwards when we went to their pressconference, they gave the exact same news and what we found out is that they used the same source as ours, the internet, pathetic! And the government and police force said there is no need to panic or do anything, because it is far yata yata, I got so angry I left the conference, I couldnt believe they were so ignorant.

Whatever, cause from a 'hurricane watch' it became just now a 'hurricane warning' and now everybody is running around like chickens without heads and its already late. whence we adviced everybody to get prepared.

If you could see now you wouldnt believe this island is aware of an hurricane, ppl here can be really ignorant. Everything is just as normal.
Hehehehe, only thing funny was when we broke the news everybody went to the gasstations to tank their cars, everybody, lol.

Now its a category 4 hurricane and thats pretty bad,
I just posted this (hopefully not my last) to announce that I may not be on the forums for a while, until my dsl is back in order after the hurricane.
I am a bit scared too, to be honest. Pray or whatever that everything goes as smoooth as possible.
tnx

New York is perfect. No direct hits from hurricanes or tornados.
The only major thing we get here are blizzards...but when you're a kid, you don't see anything bad about them. =P
Well Weird Fish, I hope you and your family and everyone else over there will be okay!

Damn thats no good... in the last 2 weeks in Japan we had a volcano blow up, 4 earthquake and a tsunami warning... Crazy! The emergcy broadcast system went into effect and all the TV stations were playing warnings of the tsunami... scary crap because I live next to the water!!! Lucky I was not effected.

Seek a good place to hide Fish. Wish you and your family/loved ones the best.

Silver, glad to hear your ok too. Cali is famous for earthquakes. and having rain and sunshine on the same day but none of that crazy tsunami hurricane volcano stuff you guys have.

Nah, if you have a garage or park it close to the house/building at the other side from where the wind hits...its stays put. And I beleive you are confused with tornados.
Plus, after the hurricane there is no gas station, so its necessary to tank so you can move until they install everything back.
Even though roads here will be severally damaged or flooded, so only SUVs will be able to move around, until they clean the roads.
Luckely I have my montero and plus side its diesel, so it will last longer.

Now its freakishly dark, its smells bad like dead fish, it pours on and off, roads are already flooded, coastal areas are beaches now. wind blows from the opposite direction from normal. But its like calm and very EERY I must say. Everything is done though here, we are finished, I just need a shower and eat something...and we just wait for it to come...
