UK still probebly has the biggest scene for hardcore, Infact I'm sure of it, we don't have a great hardcore/gabber scene but as far as general hardcore goes we still got the majority of labels/producers/events etc..

Yeah most of the dutch stuff is on the harder side of hardcore nowerdays and even though it's big over there it's died off a bit since the 90's hasn't it? I wanna go over to Rotterdam and check it out for myself though, go to some party's and collect a bit of vinyl.

It's got to be the UK. There's at least 5 raves every single weekend, also all the biggest hardcore DJs, producers and MCs are UK based.

most of north america is still rooted in the older happy stuff, hasn't really caught on to the new stuff yet so things are relatively slow, but it's coming around :)

^^ our scene's got a fairly nice balance now...
and yeah Silver's right our scene's big in terms of pulling people to parties. we only have one rave per weekend, but the big events host up to 10,000 people!! our scenes really healthy + growing at the moment too. a huge amount of djs, producers and promoters rising through the ranks...

Nah, there's plenty of hard techno nights as well, eg totally lost it, species... dutch hardcore isn't the only variation from cheese, and not all UK hardcore is cheesy anyway (I wouldn't call Brisk or Scott Brown's stuff cheesy...)

We certainly do. Parties almost every weekend, so many up and coming and established deejays, small to HUGE scale parties, massive international line ups, we've got it good here. If only we had the internationals over here more often! :D

To check for wow and flutter, we've recorded a single tone of 3000 cycles per second which you should hear as a perfectly steady tone without variations in the pitch.

The majority of the UK stuff is cheesey including in my opinion SOME of scott browns stuff, there is alot of nice dirty freeform coming out recently though.
When I say cheesey I dont mean it in a bad way I probably should of used trancy but to me the trance sound is cheesey so.... I am not insulting the UK sound in the slightest as I like it very much all I am saying is that it dominates on the lighter side of hardcore but not on the harder side. Just beacause it doesn't have the biggest "hard" scene doesn't mean that one doesnt exist.

How can you say that you have massive international line ups almost every weekend and then say you need more internationals? Doesn't make sense.
