I just noticed, when someone new joins the site, their music preferance is more happy bouncy stuff, like the happy2bhardcore series. But the longer ther stay here the more hardcore they get...Anyone else notice that?

never really payed that much attention to it...but I suppose I could see that yes. I started out assbackwards though, first started listening to hardcore techno then was introduced to cheesier stuff...then went back =P

for me mate it was a bit back and forth really.
i started off on the bouncier happier tracks then got increasingly into gabber and the like. then went back onto the happy stuff again, and now i'm just sitting with a nice mix of both.
just depends what people hear first to get them into hardcore in the first place; thn they'll find their preferences after really.
i love it all personally

Well, when you think about it most people are drawn to the scene by hearing somthing like happy2bhardcore or some of the old stuff. The more they get into the music they relize that there is alot more to it then just the happy2b cds.

happy, cheesy, all the way! old or new - as long as its happy, cheesy and bouncy! The real hard stuff doesn't really do it for me....I'll never change - I've been a member of this site for a while now and and I still prefer HAPPY hardcore.

I have to admit it was a right cheesey Vinylgrover tape that got me listening to hardcore again. I found it when moving back home. The first time was when a mate gave me a copy of prodigy experience when i was 12 or so.
