stones mate - im from the uk lol - i moved to the US last year.
and seeing as bonkers 12 got to number 8 in the uk charts...i would say its doing fairly well.. :P
even tidy are doing events with hardcore djs now! (magna)
we've had at least 3 hardcore mixs on radio one in the past year (which aint at all bad) and john peal always plays at least 2 or 3 hardcore tracks on his show each night..
L2 in my small hometown have even had a hardcore night with slipmatt and guests.
it wasnt anything personal what i said - its just..the vibe reached down into cornwall...i was wondering how you could have missed it all! especially with this site with over 11,000 members :D
hehe

I missed it because I wasnt looking for it, which kind of proves my point.
The fact that my mates who I used to go raving with were genuinely shocked when I told them it was still going says it all really.
Fair enough this site has 11,000 members but it seems mainly american, I could be wrong.
However not slagging the scene I think its great its still alive, it just isnt maybe as much at the fore front as you would like to think.

Its now 13,484 members :)
In January 2003, 57% of the members were from UK, 23% from US. Dont think it has much changed from then.

I only recently (within 2 years or so) got into hardcore, i dont know how i found it (or it found me) but im glad it did. I mainly stick to the bonkers series of cds as they seem the easiest to come across (although i have to travel 18 miles to get them). It really suprises me how little the 'scene' is in the UK compared to something like hardhouse. for example, my local record shop has plenty of hardhouse/coolhouse/drum&bass cds/vynals, but it has maybe one or 2 hardcore vynals (of which aint that good). There are also very few hardcore events happening where i am (near cardiff, south wales) although sometimes there is none, and 3 come along at the same time. the next one is hixxy, scott brown and a few other top djs (evolution 15th october i beleive).
I seem to have forgotten my point here...
oh yes, when i heared that bonkers 12 (wicked cd) got to 8 in the charts i was shocked. i had no idea it had such a following. because where i live its all bogus chillout shit and other crappy genres.
But as for the scene dying, im not sure what it was like back in the early 90's, but by the look of things, hardcore is gettin stronger and stronger all the time.
maybe its right... HARDCORE WILL NEVER DIE!

So you didnt read my post. This site has about the same amount of UK members as USH, + 6000 from other countrys, witch makes this site the best, as pretty much every hardcore scene is represented :)

Theres plenty forum sites out there this was the first one i found and the only one i've regularly posted on after joining another couple. Juat about finding one you like but apart from the internet and fellow ravers there is little coverage of the hardcore scene. Thats not saying people dont buy it or arent interested cos then no way would a hardcore cd make number 8 in charts, but many people dont pay attention to album charts so therefore could easily not no that hardcore raves are still going strong. like anything thats not 100% commercialised and rammed down your throat you need to actively look to find information. Must admit i do like the fact that a lot of different nationalities use this site cos then it's easier to find info on their respectibve scenes as whispering said, plus they can i.d tracks from their scenes better which is very helpful to me as i love my euro stuff like makina, italian etc.
Venga familia!!!

For the record this site is not any country it's just suppose to be general hardcore.
But if your interested, 55% of the members are from the UK but the site is viewed 60% by the US... so I guess the UK peeps like to talk :)
