Well this is one of the more depressing threads ive ever read...
Raves, well it all depends on why you go, and who you go with. Dont go to one alone, and dont go to one just to do drugs. Those two choices will get you into trouble that otherwise would have been a really good time. Theres plenty of fun out there without drugs. Drugs just make it more fun.
However, I had a really bad experience a while back, to much to drink, so all i would say is go very slow at first. Cuz you dont know what your cappable of yet.
Do i sound like a parent yet? LOL

raves on drugs, raves with friends, raves alone, raves straight, do wot u want jus know wot ure doing, anyone here against ket, i aint done it yet but i mite give it a try, ive known peeps who do a fair bit n i really dont see wot evry1 makes the big fuss about?
Theres nothing wrong with the boat those big holes help keep our feet cool.

because when places get shut down because other people have been dealing/doing drugs in there, it pisses everyone else off and ruins it.
people dont have to get caught doing drugs in these places either - once the rumours start to spred, the place in question builds a reputation, and the next thing you know you have police crawling the joint and shutting your nights down.
thus ruining it for everyone else who is just thier to enjoy the music and have a good time.
also, because people find it "cool" to brag about the stuff they do on forums + other places, it makes the people who dont do drugs look bad. thus, some younger people who get into the scene get singled out and labeled "druggies". i've talked to other people on the board who this happens to - its simply not fair on the people who dont do drugs.
thats not me saying "dont do them" thats just me giving an answer as to why some people make a fuss about it.

I've only been to a coulpe "raves" and they were amazing! Everyone got along really well (even with crazy drunks). I think about 10 people offerend me water (and various other things). :) It was a totally amazing expirience. Unlike concerts for bands that i've been to almost everyone was dancing. I dislike going to concerts and only 3 people in the very front are dancing and everyone else just stands there. "Raves" have a lot of energy in the air and you can't help but dance, and not care what you look like. Because everyone else is doing the same thing and they wont judge you. And not all people who go are on drugs. Thats societies misconception. And thoes who are, are supper supper nice. :) I recomend everyone to go at least once. If it was humanly possible i would go everyday. :)

sorry triquatra i was being a bit blinkered there, n i hope ure not suggesting im bragging cos its not really nething to brag about, drugs arent "cool" there jus something ppl like to do, its like bragging about riding a bike or drinking milk or something like that, i did totally ignore the fact that places get shut down cos of it which addmitedly was a pretty big over sight n ure right too many good venues have been shut down cossa there reputation but it ent just "druggies" who put the drugs in those places its the owners n the dealers they allow in as well so the blame aint soley on the ppl who take a little bitta persy in
