I like some. Ferry Corsten is the shit. Some of the best music I've ever heard.

Trance from 1999-2001 is really really wicked, and there's nothing else like it :)
I totally agree with Mr Probe.

The way hardcore is nowadays, i fail to see how you like hardcore but hate trance...
Plus you're just listening to the more mainstream side of things. Hardstyle would make you cack your pants

I stopped listening to trance ~'98. Epic is crap, I prefer my beats rough and tough with screaming synth and acid lines.
If you got rid of all the fluffy and bring back the warped & twisted tb303 filled trance, I could listen to trance once more
I like hardcore today but I don't like trancier stuff, there is enough music out there that you don't have to play trance in your set. You don't have to have vocals in your set either. I grew up on hardcore techno and I'll always play a techno oriented hardcore, atleast try to anyway =P

its all about "digger - church of ra"
99 style trance is my fav :D - I like older stuff too - like "Sasha and Maria Naylor - Be As One" and "Harmonix - Landslide" both way ahead of their time imo (1996)

Yeah by all means 99-01 was the trance gold. And I still listen to it. Have weeks worth of the stuff on my computer still (cuz I can't keep track of all those CDs for the life of me). Lemme see..... yeah, I have more trance than I do hardcore on my computer! But I think thats only cuz I never ripped my Happy2bHardcore CD's. It's all good stuff.

Golden euphoric trance days were back with the likes of mainly Ferry Corsten & Mauro Picotto... Gouryella, Out of the Blue, Punk, Like This Like That, Back to Cali, Iguana etc etc...
The style Trance going on today though has to be the German style... Cosmic Gate, Megara vs DJ Lee etc etc... Nothing but Hardcore can beat it!

The mind blowing trance is great. Delerium, Enigma, & Enya are my favorites they're more soft but I enjoy it. I can listen to them just as I listen to the HC artists - which are just so good, in words its too hard to say. I just met DJ Comet on AIM a few days ago and he's one kick ass guy, I love his sets. Infinitron, Scott Brown, Cloudskipper, and Sy oh god thats a dream come true. Love listening to those guys all the time.

I absolutely adore Trance, and can't get enough of Hard Trance at raves. I agree, the older stuff tends to be a lot better, but you can find excellent modern artists. My favourite for Hard Trance is beXta, she's very talented, quite popular in Australia.
Trance, Hardcore, Hardstyle, NRG, House, Gabber - it's all techno! Love it all!
The only part of your body that should be partying too, every hour on the hour is the rebel in you!
