What do you guys think hardcore should be these days:

1. Happy/Cheesy?
2. Trancy/Uplifting?
3. Hard NRG (Sharkey & Energy stylee)
4. Combination of the above (state which)

Just wanna find out how many people out there still love it hard & happy..

cheers,

Billy

happy/cheesy!

I don't really like the synths of trancy/unlifting hardcore, it sounds like a direct rip-off of the trance scene (which it is imo). It also doesn't carry the true hardcore vibe - fun.

I have nothing against Hard NRG at all, it just doesn't do it for me. Keep it simple, happy, cheesy, bouncy and don't forget the vocals!

I also like the pure bouncy, simple kinda tunes, like what DJ Sy plays...

I REALLY like the hard stuff and the trancey synths, and when I'm in the mood for it I quite like the cheesy stuff. Some free form I love too. But as they say, hardcore has many forms so all the different sounds are great. Keeps it intrestin aswell.

When I grow up I wana be a D JJJJJJJJJJJJJ!

As for me as far as style goes... I like anything with nice harmonies and melody.. this has mostly been the older stuff (cheese) but there have been a few recent tracks which have fallen into this catagory. I have to say I absolutely loved every single track on the Happy 2B Hardcore series, esepcially 3 onwards. But H2BHC ch 3 would perfectly sum up in a nutshell the style of HC I love :)

I loved that Blaze- Till the day track... I'm getting a bit fed up with bonkers lately - the trancey stuff was a nice bit of fresh air for a while but its getting samey.

Would like to hear more vocals in my hardcore, especially female ones :)

Got PLUR?

I Love it all mate!!

Depends wot type of mood im in. But if i had to choose one ova all id av to stick wiv the Happy/Cheesy,

You cant beat a hardcore tune with a euphoric vocal and a bouncy bassline!

Im agreeing wiv 'slavetomysoundwave' u cant beat a phat old SY mix!!!

I think we should just let the producers go whatever direction they want and keep making their own styles of tunes, then hunt out all the ones to our liking. Room for everything and if you cant find what you like learn to produce tunes yourself and make them. And as Eddie says blaze "Til the Day" is a crackin example of a new happy soundin track so you can still find them if thats what your after.

Venga familia!!!
