Can you get "Townie" Hardcore Ravers. ,because i always thought Hardcore was very "Anti-Townie"
(I dont like townie fashion)

Someone who dresses in sports wear the whole time, listens to Comercial music, can only name about 2 Electronic genres.
Has the latest reebok trainers, flashes them to complete strangers, who they think give a F***.

As ashamed as I am I was a full blown townie for ages!! I still Loved Hardcore though!! It aws hard dance that managed to pull me away from the t**ts :-)

If people think the big events like slammin, skelter etc are full of townies take a look at http://www.ultimatebuzz.net/index.php?page=/gallerys.php&tab=Gallery for photos of various events in the north east, then i think you'll realise it aint that bad after all. people seem to get caught up with this issue too much imo and i no some people who dont even go to events cos they feel intimidated by neds there which is very sad. I've had 3 happy years of regular ravin all over the country loads in glasgow and north east aswell never had a bad night yet. Once my mate got sold 3 dud pills which was actually at the sanctuary and bitta trouble happened from there but i even told him own stupid fault buyin drugs off a stranger and after moment of madness night went fine from there. Basically as long as you dont make yourself an easy target you'll be fine so dont let a few folks stop you goin out listenin to the music you love and makin some of the best friends you could find.

To be fair I've fallen into the dud trap I agree townies don't like going to raves on the most part "full of drug f**ked loonies" (hell yeah ) but the odd few fall through and eventually become part of the happy family!! A mate of mine stopeed a townie beating on a littlwe raver at HTID 2 but thats the only bit of trouble i can say i've seen at a rave

Mark mate sorry your missing my point what i'm trying to say is dont feel intimidated of goin to a rave cos theres nothin to worry about. Where i grew up people mainly dressed in a way people would call townie but doesnt mean anythin it's just how people dress, and raves do attract all kinds of people but that does include some wronguns cos of the association between raves and drugs (gonna gub 15 pills then run a mock type attitude). Through living and experiencing raving all over the country i will say you find the further south you go the more the gangs etc are into drum n bass and the further north you go the more it's hardcore. The reason i put the link to the buzz gallery was to show people that the events like htid, slammin, helter skelter etc are not really that bad for townies compared to raves in the north east, glasgow etc and that i've spent the last 3 years lovin every minute of all of them so dont get put off cos nothin to worry about.
