Do internet sales count towards the official music chart??
Cos apparantly about 3000 copies sold is enough to get in the top 10.
HappyHardcore.com has over 10000 members, so if everyone agreed on a song to buy at the same time we could easily get hardcore top of the pops!!
Just a thought....

Wasn't there a Breeze & Styles tune in the uk top 40 fairly recently?
I think it was only there for a couple of weeks and I didn't get a chance to hear it, as of course it wasn't on the radio 1 playlist.

I personally hope hardcore will never be on top of the pops. It would just seem wrong.

Yep CD sales tanked a few years ago, you only need like 1000 sales to go top 40 and like 3000 top 10 and about 10,000 for top 5...

i think it wuld be great for the scene if hardcore got mainstream airtime. ppl are worried that if it goes commercial it'll turn cheesy and slow and sh*t, but no coz the djs n producers wuldnt let that happen. i've always played hardcore at my house parties n ppl have always enjoyed it. ive even converted a few of my m8s! :-)

Well, I dont want it to go commercial either, since when it goes commercial, there are always some stupid gready people who try to create music for money, just for money, and that stuff will turn out crap. Just check out trance, when trance was underground, the majority of what came out was good, but then it became more and more mainstream, and look at it now, its hard to find a cd with a trance-song that you really like. Most of it is crap. Sure Commercialiseing hardcore would help the industry, but it would ruin the name of hardcore, and the procetage of bad songs aiming for the mainstream community would rise.
