dont get me wrong, i didnt say that elections are not important. i think they are very very important.
part of what i was saying was that there is a differnce in saying
"remember to vote"
and saying
"your vote counts"
the second statement aims at those who dont think that they're vote counts.
the first statement is far to obvious (like saying "reminder - breathe") just pisses irritable people like me off hehe.
my comment (which was in jest i might add) was simply stating that if a person doesnt realise that it is election day - and that on election day we are to vote - then perhaps that person has a mind that perhaps cannot reason between one candidate and another
if you get my meaning. :)

Over here the election is the main news story every night. Why? Personally and everyone else I know couldn't give a toss wether monkey 1 or monkey 2 gets the job.(Michael Moore will rip whoever it is to shreds and turn the fickle American public against them). Does our prime Minister election get top news story every night in America? Probably not

after talking with her, the USA is her home - but now more than ever she prefers the UK, i think she was most shocked at how many states we're against gay civil rights (which aparrently was a big decider this election)
and seeing as britain are actually doing somthing about it

I believe that if people have the right to vote, they should take advantage of it because I am sure there are most likely others who would gladly take their place. However, the election is now over, but still there proved a great voter turnout.
I waited for three hours (Early Voting) @_@ But I'm glad it is all over and done with, I felt proud of myself for actually accomplishing something, I suppose. But DjTriquatra, I do agree with your claims of having to remind those lazy people.
Good job keeping everything on topic, everybody :D
