Right, i'm looking at buying some replica swords - problem is, just gotta find em first.

The main things i want are probably pretty hard to track down. I'm trying to find :

Gunblade (Squall's sword in FF8)
Masamune (Famous sword in many square games)
Cloud's Sword (FF7)
Bill's Katana (Kill Bill - Easy one to find)

i've tried ebay but all they have are letter openers. Anyone know where i can buy at least one of these?

I don't think that you will get the ones from final fantasy or square as I am sure they were never made for real.

If you liked this post why not get up and do a dance in honour of it.

The places that teach sword fighting (dont remember the correct word) sell them. I think its kind of stupid to have swords if you dont know how to use them properly. Though if they are replicas from a TV show or other "fan" stuff, then its a diffrent thing.

Also for those FF swords try to find some Japanese stores that sells fan stuff.

I don't know if there's a shop called "Another World" or "Forbidden Planet" where you are, but they sell replica ones there.

You might be able to buy them from their internet site:

Living in Japan I know a little about this...

A real Katana is priceless, expect to pay millions for it....

As for a modern katana (created in the last few years), will cost about 5000 dollars for a real katana (they are super light and made by hand).

The you go into the other ones... which look just as good but aint anything like the real thing for anything from 10 bucks - 500 bucks.

There's a shop near me that sells swords and they have a conan the barbarian replica, it's about 5 ft tall and proper heavy. I could only just pick it up and I'd have no chance of swinging it at someone. Which is what I'd do if I owned a sword. Looks great though.

I once found a site selling the mastersword (zelda series/ffta) but seems it was only a limited pressing, there are a few sites with a dude dressed as link swinging it around

I know they made 30cm gunblade letter openers, could use it as a knife lol

http://www.globalgear.com.au/ebay/AA32.jpg is the kind that sell on ebay silver, new ones. plus there are tons of ww2 ones
