Sounds like a wicked idea but if it's not a scam it must be really crude picture.
How does it know which object is infront of another? A normal TV picture doesn't contain this sort information and to know that for e.g. and elephant is standing infront of a car, you must have detailed information of what an elephant and a car is (called "modelling"). Currently only a brain is able to fill in these gaps with memory and experience. A computer can't do this and must be told every single detail (and certainly not a computer that costs only about £200!).
Or to rule out intelligence completely the images need to be shot with at least 2 camera's at slightly different angles in order to generate a 3D image. - exactly the same way your eyes work. Again the ordinary TV picture doesn't contain this information. It was only shot with 1 camera.
So I guess it produces an image like one of those 3D pictures on a cereal box with those funky red and green glasses. The image will be crude at best.
Unless there is some new technology that I don't know of???

I think its a mixture of both the Pulfrich Effect and 3D Modelling.
It prob uses a varying amout of 3D Modeling from 100% 3D Modelling for Completly static shots, to 100% Pulfrich for fast horizontal motion.
This kind of Optimisation would lower the CPS.
Some other guy on another site said some stuff about it only being able to map shapes/edges to basic shapes like Cubes and Spheres to make Stereoscopic 3D.

Why are you laughing at me??
Are you laughing because you (as an american) have something that you can buy, and will work.
But I (as a UK Citizen) have something that wont work with my PAL System.
Yeah.....i supose that sounds like typical american bragging i should expect.

"Does'nt work" is a very broad term.
It works rougly 70-80% of the time, but i would prefer it to work 100% of the time.
(I did pay £100 including import tax)

Have you tried looping it through your computer? Monitors dont use NSTC/PAL, do they? You could just convert your signal, and loop it to your 3D thingy.
