Was just wandering how many people's votes or whatever it would take for a popular radio station to play hardcore in normal air time. Im not saying dedicated Hardcore all the time (which would be cool as ****!). But like immagine on the way to work or college tuning in to say Rock Fm or Radio 1 for example and Dougal & Gammer - Fell From The Stars or Scott Brown - Memories started playing.
How cool would that be!

ner that wouldn't be cool as! why would you want hardcore to become mainstream? don't you want to be listening to something different from everybody else-and remain special?? lol

well i think hardcore in moderation on daytime radio wuld be 'king awesome! i guess the only thing that gets to me about hardcore being so underground is the fact that i cant chat to any of me m8s about it lol and i worry that if they hear it they'll be like 'aww man that's s**t!' but wen i play it at me house parties they're actually ok wiv it! *grins*

if you live in larger cities occassionally you'll have a college radio show or a pirate show playing hardcore.
I think it would be better if something like xm would pick up hhc.com, it would never really catch on if it was on a popular show...sure some people would dig it but the majority would say it's too fast or I don't get it

Yeah I think it would be cool and would probably get more people interested. I think that the majority of people don't any know that Hardcore even exists.
I only discovered it because someone once bought in a force & styles cd and played it at work. I was hooked straight away, I loved it.

i still cant believe the whole "hardcore going commercial" thing still goes on here, and i've been away how long???
but its amazing how opinions can change in a matter of months.
i used to be all for it,then all against it. now i wouldnt want it in the mainstream all the time. but a weekly show on the airwaves would go down well...

I am all for happy hardcore being played in prime drive time radio!!! I'd love to flick on the radio during rush hour sat in a cue of traffic ......."your my angel your the only (big grin) sunshine in my llife........ all of a sudden i don't mind being in a 4 mile tail back because i'm bouncing along to some happy happy hardcore :-) I'd love it bang on the radio woo woo :-) I also think that people need to accept the fact that like all genres hardcore will always remain individual in the underground , I know rockers and have been to a couple of rock nights and there were tunes i recognised but they were few and far between!!! i can see that happening to hardcore, raves won't change as such but other nights will open for the shinny comercial version of a rave can you imagine that lol *shiverrrrs ooh i wouldn't if I were you ha haa

Keep it underground, commercial clubbers will ruin the scene.

it would be nice to see (hear) a weekly, or ever monthly show on the radio I think - bit like what 1 in the jungle was. I'm all for keeping the music underground and all that, but surely airtime is a good thing - it gives people a better chance to get into it. I bet theres quite a few ravers out there that don't know it yet because they haven't heard the music properly. Remember, theres a difference between popular and commercial - it seems like people don't realise that.
A weekly or monthly show, late at night to avoid any 'commercial' issues would be superb - I'd tune in every time!
(imagine, monthly DJ mixes on air - oh yes!)

Hardcore used to get played quite a lot for a while on stations like clyde 1 and forth fm although only in special shows on saturday or sunday nights with dj's like tom wilson, so im sure it was the same in rest of u.k but that was a good few years ago now and loadsa pirates also played hardcore back then. face facts hardcore aint nearly popular enough to play on daytime radio but i think would be much better anyway to have jus a couple specialist shows anyway cos wouldnt be just the ultra cheese end of market and would have it's own set of listeners.
Venga familia!!!
