Don't get me wrong, I like all the proper singing thats in hardcore now...But I really miss all the chipmonk vocals. Things have changed since then but surely some chipmonks wouldn't be a bad thing???
I think that they give the tune more of a happy, uplifting feeling....but thats just my opinion....just thought i'd share it with the rest of the world.

i like the female vocals but i cant stand the chipmunk voices. to me they r annoying. but thats jus my opinion

I'm a fairly big fan of chipmunk vocals, albeit, like everything else, in moderation.
"Paradise" & "Love Like This" are two examples of recent chipmunk vocal ridden tracks I'm very keeen on.
The only issue I have is that, generally, chipmunk vocal tunes tend to be veering towards being less-than-entirely-legit.
Perhaps I shall endeavour to orchestrate an all original chipmunk vocal tune...

With regards to hardcore dying, I gotta say that I think hardcore is getting cheesier and a lot of tracks are beginning to sound similar. I also think that hardcore should be kept hard and trancey but more producers should introduce breakbeats into their tracks. I hope hardcore doesn't turn really cheesy in the future.
Just as an example hixxys bonkers 11 mix was outstanding with some amazing vocal tracks. This album I didn't find cheesy at all. But move forward 6 months and hixxy's bonkers 12 mix was really cheesy and I didn't enjoy it at all? What are other peoples views on the future of hardcore?

everyone has there likes and dislikes.
personally i like the chipmunks but occasionaly they dont help a record.
it all depends when they are used.
