I guess I just need a little background information and some of the extra stuffs
would probably be easier to do a more..broad topic but this works. this is what i like, this is what i want to do it on :O any help = appreciated loads

History(simple background stuff: what it originated from, how it started, early DJ's or something like that)

How it's "made"(equipment, who makes it, and whatnot)

What it's like today(popularity..where it's played at, why people might like it, things like that.)

Not like it has to be super long or anything, just 5-7 minutes. I suck at putting speeches together though, and finding info on smaller topics (whether this one be small or not, it's hard as hell to find a lot of stuff on and I don't know too much about it I suppose D:) isn't exactly easy..so if anyone can help me(I'm sure DJ's especially will have something to say) That'd be really awesome.
If you really want, you can AIM me or something at: XxRyuu
but I'll be checking up as well so halp halp D:

Where the hell are you giving this speech and what for? School?

This will be the most important part. Make sure you let them hear a little Bonkers 12 & 13 while you're at it. And always remember...SPEECHES ARE NOTHING WITHOUT SOUND SAMPLES. Tell them about websites that offer information on hardcore, like this site and USH.net

Also tell them about the Happy2bHardcore series.

Goodluck man. The USA needs this kind of shit.

Thanks for the sites Lucificifus, and yeah Star, we really do. Especially where I live I really don't think a lot of people even know much about music like this in general and anything they hear that's like this is just "techno" so it's kind of lame. if you try to explain it to someone and you get it going good they're like "oh you mean techno?" D:

eww no don't tell them about happy 2b hardcore, tell them about this is noize 2!

also most of the music created in the 90s was created using trackers, which were (and still are) sample oriented; whereas now you have a whole assortment of programs popping up left and right from step sequencers to professional mastering programs for use on home pcs.

lets not forget the lovely hardware that defined this genre. with roland 303 & 909 kicks and claps to wonderful hoovers (god bless 'em) from the roland juno

^^^ Bit harsh innit?

Just say how it was originally breakbeat and explain the type of things that classified a HHC track (eg vocals/pianos etc) Play a clip of an early bonkers adn then explain how the format changed (for the better IMO) in around 2001 in the UK and explain the different styles that have evolved from it and play sum more sound clips i suppose. Holy hell thats one long sentence!

'I got 99 problems but the 1st division ain't one!!!'

You can tell this was written by someone in Melebourne, they say that the Sydney scene died without any mention to the hardcore scene which is massive... I would not use this resource.
