This topic can get very deep.
There was a good TV show on Channel 4 earlier (UK) about this.
Here's some food for thought:
did a god create us?
did we create god?
what if we are like a simulated online world to an extremely detailed degree and there is a 'superrace' which created us?
a bit like the matrix perhaps?
or star ocean till the end of time's storyline?
Theres piles of questions that can be raised but the thing is -- we don't have a solid sure fire way to prove it!

string theory is a great theory, my wife has currently been studying it in university.
that guy seems to be reaching a little too much with his omnipresance of god stuff.
if string theory prooved correct it would show that other dimensions exist.
also he seems to have completly ignored the fact that if string theory is correct it would proove the big bang theory...
which would proove a slight problem for christians.
true it could show that another place exists for god. but then
who says its a christian god.

that is without a doubt THE biggest step and assumtion ever lol
and is basically the basis of his thesis.
its a theory - people shouldnt be dragging in other theorys (beliefs).

don't think of god as a person
used as a term for "everything as a whole" it then makes sense.
lots of theory and such goes into my explnation so i wont bother typing

How about our last ancestors had destroyed there last planet, they then found earth, tho it was perfect it didnt quite have the conditions they needed so they blew it up and terraformed it then they let a few people live on it n buggered off, every couple hundred years they popped back to check up on it sum times taking samples, some human some animal when ever it looked to become over populated they'd drop a wee virus off as well.
I know its bonkers but hell that could be us in a couple hundred years, nasa have already said they arent that far off from being able to terraform a planet now. Makes ya think

Clarke, I beg to differ...Chiristianity and Judiasm are nothing alike. Christians throughout the ages have mistranslated Hebrew passages in the Torah about the apocalypse, sin, whether or not there is an afterlife, etc. I laugh when a christian says he/she has a lot in common with Jewish people because their new testament is based off these mistranslations, not the torah.
