Enjoy your break comet

I've had those kinda feelings and sort of chilled out away from here for a while... (not that it was noticed though ).
I always try to find tunes i've never heard which helps keep the scene fresh for me...Not so much the new tunes....but the old one's too- They're the one's that got me into this for the reasons I did. I think there's too much arguing between everyone's opinions and too much knob-headedness goin around..(IMHO).

It seems a far distance now from what it used to be like (The scene-not just the music)...Everyone was happy with the music...and no-one was bothered what the DJ's played/ produced or whatever....people liked the tunes and that was it. There was a lot more freedom of opinion and far less name branding going on....

That's my whole opinion on this little topic

Thouroghly enjoy your break comet...do what feels right.

To quote a famous song "Everyboday need a little time away", You are doing what you feel's right for you, and you will be missed.

I hope i was nothing to do with i'll feeling's you talk about in the forum.

Hopefully the prodigal son will return, im sure the door will always be open.

I never said I was stopping.. I just said I'm taking a break.

The main reason I feel this way is because I want it to be fun. Not a job. And by working at hhc.com, it's a job to me and it changes from something fun to something I have to do. I don't want to HAVE to mix. I want to mix on my own time. I don't want to HAVE to produce. I want to produce when I feel right.

I'm not going away. I'm just toning down and trying to get back into the music as I was before. I want to do things on my own time. Bookings are awesome. Something to look forward to. But when there is something I am required to do every week involving it, it isn't fun.

I still have D2 and High Octane Evolution 2 coming out. So don't think I'm just selling my records.

Misunderstood what you meant....but understand what you mean now....There's a Huge difference between Wanting to do something you like....and Having tp dp something you like...You may like it-but 'having' to do it takes away the freedom of it...
I like Producing (all-be-it: Trying) as a hobby....nothing more.
I like Hardcore as a hobby...and nothing more.
Freedom is the spice of life

I've probably repeated a lot of stuff there...whoops

i took a break from hardcore a while back... it was gettin a bit too normal to me, so i stopped listening to it, not out of choice or anything, it just happened, i started listening to some old classics, golden oldies and all that. but i found myself as always turning back to hardcore. you'll be fine in time, maybe you just got sick of the same old things?
hope to see you return soon. x

I'm taking a break from hardcore right now!! At this time, I'm mostly listening to trance and trancestep. Alot of the hardcore tunes that have been released recently haven't tickled my fancy, mainly because I listened to hardcore straight for the past two years without a break. But dude, if you're taking a break from hardcore because of the forums, I think that is a sad excuse!!

It isn't the reason, no. Like I said, the reason is because it's turned into a job for me and isn't fun. If I don't have the responsibility of making everyone happy, I can do it for fun again. I need to not work for it anymore.

been there, done that, got the postcard =P

if you think the hardcore scene is "ugly," you should see junglist =P

that's why it's nice to have other hobbies so you can go do other things when you don't want to do one thing anymore. I've taken two breaks from hardcore/rave scene in general, they weren't long term but I know what you're going through.

have a nice break =)

arrr few months down the line, if that, you'll hear something hardcore and it will trigger that nostalgic feeling. ya know. you'll get hooked again and again and again...
i seriously cant get away from it. its always got a place in my heart, as does yours i'm sure. or you wouldnt have gotten so far as you have.
