sorry but I really don't care for raver baby, along with most of the djs here stateside. I was really excited for the label when it first started but after the first couple releases I just stopped listening to anything being put out on it.
it's too trancey, it has an occasional decent sounding tune and then ruins it with trance synths. there are plenty of other labels out that can carry hardcore.
I appreciate what the people puting stuff out on it are doing but I don't care for the tunes.

dnvekvfjvdkvncnc! I think you're speaking for yourself on that one.

That's kinda shotty considering the fact that Raverbaby has basically run the show for the last few years. I think that the other labels' material have helped hardcore sustain itself, but Raverbaby has always been there too. You can't just dismiss it's contributions. It's like saying hardcore could be here without Evolution/Plus.
And who gives a f*** is it's trancy sounding. The fact of the matter is that it's good music to listen to and mix with.

I like the stuff raverbaby have been putting out, but as said before, it's really getting beyond a joke with these release dates. How the hell did they win best label when they have hardly released anything this year, but this has all been said before in other posts. I just can't see whats taking them so long, they go through Amato like everyone else, so what is the hold up. We were told during November, then a couple of weeks before Christmas, and now god knows when.
btw. does anyone know when 'end of time' is being released?? Really like that tune at the mo.

hey how bout you settle down there chief
first, I was speaking for most the djs on pitched up who spread across most of the us.
second, I give a "f*ck" if it's trancy; I don't care for trance. I didn't say I was dismissing their contribution, read the last sentence. I really don't care for most of the newer releases on evolution either.

Haha your kidding me aint ya the raverbaby label (and djs) didnt jump back on the bandwagon till hardcore was coming back. Raverbaby make little kiddies music which mainly appeals to a very young audience. The raverbaby sound might attract little kiddies for a while who otherwise might be at a disco but it also turns most people over 19 yrs old away from the scene.

Afaik, Bonkers was around before Raver Baby - Without React, Hixxy and Sharkey we wouldn't have bonkers. We'd be missing a few good tunes (Notably wanting to get high) but otherwise i don't think hardcore would crash and burn without Raver Baby...you seem to be forgetting that every other label doesn't orbit around Raver Baby, infact Evolution is the longest running hardcore label, Next Generation/Blatant Beats are also massive, aswell as the Nu Energy Collective, and Raver Baby aint even played out as much because they're so slack on releases.

Well, I assumed you were speaking for all fans of hardcore in the USA, not just a label's point of view. Thanx for clearing that up.

So you're saying that since it sounds like kiddie music it has to be?
