And it feels great!

If anyone remembers my posts about the drunks and druggies that came into the bar I worked at then you know what I'm talking about.

Got into work today, boss said she was gonna let this other girl take my shift since she knew I didn't like working there. I told her "Really?! Cool cause I was gonna tell you that next Tuesday would be my last day." I mean hell, after 8 months of ******** and busting my ass for them she accuses me of pocketing tips on NYE when I was working with another bartender (which I didn't). She claimed "I just didn't believe you guys only made 48 dollars between the both of you". I told her "I told you these people don't tip, thats why I don't like doing parties!"

So I said my goodbyes to my favourite people and hit the road

Next week I have an interview for TSA for a fulltime position doing airport security screening. Healthcare, paid vacation, the works. If all goes well I'll be starting a new job in a month or two. In the mean time I'm gonna relax and leech off my savings account. Damn its good to plan ahead!

No more:
Dealers.
Drunks.
-or-
Crackheads.

Let someone else handle that crap.

BOOYA!

Best of luck dude, but I always find it easier to get a new job whilst already being in a job.

I've been unenployed for longer than i should mention :P But i'm at college now, but still, i could do with a part time job (i wouldn't do a minimum wage job full time anyway) so that i can go out more often and things like that, but i don't have any motivation, as it's not possible at the moment for me to do anything i could really enjoy.

Hey Fourth, I know how ya feel. I'm currently unemployed (unless you count university as a job, cuz it is a load of work). I been unemployed for a few months now. After asking my boss to cut my hours back a lil bit, cuz I was too exhausted from work AND school to study, he proceeded to schedule me for MORE hours in what I think was a blatant attempt to piss me off. Needless to say, my priorities lie with getting my degree, so I told him to kiss my ass. It feels good to finally tell yur boss to f*ck off tho, huh?

Has anyone ever done any temping while looking for a new job I considered it but don't know if it's a good idea or not?

Temping with an agency is shite, don't do it , 1 day here, 2 days there, no work for 2 weeks , you never know where you are. Problem is when you don't get any work off the agency then you need to go sign on, and fill in a new form every time cos you've been working, I hate those dss forms. If you can get a temp job with a company where they employ you for a set length of time it's not too bad.

haha aww, but he said you did such a good job at it

I did temp work one summer, got paid fairly decent and got to work at a lalapalooza. I id'ed people at the imported beer stand =P

the only thing that was bad like sicosis said was the jobs seemed very sporatic and far between.
