many people dont like mc's at the raves, personally i do. my favourite mc is mc smiley and worst has to be mc odessey?
what do u lot think?

To be honest i like odyssey especially his vocal scratch. Sharkey is awesome and for i also like Ribz. I dont like to say worst MC, because its about tastes and they are all talented in their own right. But Storm and Whizzkid have started to irritate me now. Same old stuff. Nearly as bad as when smiley kept using his "ordinary people" lyric..

a have to say am super not a fan of mc'in it in my opinion totaly takes away from the music...i really like hearing the tune...and a guy shoutin 'pump it up' or rhymin sumthin off wood distract me.
can understand if ppl do tho

Same as above but if there has to be one I would prefer it to be sharkey, ethos or ribbz I really can't get on with Odyssey and there is a guy called mc spinach on one of my older technodrome tapes that I really can't get on with.

IMO MC Connie is one of the best MC's about, but Ribbz is cool too, think Ribbz has a unique voice which sounds amazing, like MC Steppa too.
Hate Livelee and MC's that don't know when to shut up, my first ever hhc tapepack I bought (Hysteria 9) was totally ruined (all but one tape) by MC QC , who thought he was Robbie D, but he was just shite. Hate MC QC most.

Iv really gone off MC's. I dnt mind Odyssey, Smiley and Whizzkid but they do repeat themselves far too much. Imo, Odysseys vocal scratch sounds better than Storms.
Oh yes Baldo i forgot 'the T on the M I C hey!' North East mc's are much worse imo, nearly all smackheads (well not really but theyre all charvs). 'The T' and Stretch are the only ones i'l' actually listen to.

Come on steve mkr cant say you dont rate a bit of the old techno t "I can see clearly now..."  Most people that MC are proper shit and it would be better if they didnt bother but there is quite a few i feel are really talented and add that extra somethin when your raving. My favourite thing is 3 deck bcn sets cos the djs do so much you dont need an mc to add anything but somebody mixing straight one song into another needs abit of livening up when your out for a night, and thats what the mc's do. I only listen to tapepacks of events i've been to and the rest of the time i would rather listen to tunes on their own, but people need to remember that Mc's are paid to perform at events not for the recordings and a lot do their job shit hot. Sharkey for example probably wouldnt sound that impressive to people who havent seen him live, but anyone who has no's he gets the place rockin everytime and thats what matters imo. Basically it aint all about havin the best rhymes, it's about interaction with the crowd and knowin how to create the best atmosphere for the people who've forked out their cash to come and experience hardcore live and direct.

I really dislike MC Whizzkid
I'm sure he's a nice guy, but his MCing ruins every set he's on.

Wotsee...deffo my worst. I fookin hate it when they chat away over the drop, and he always does. Some are good though they know when to mc and when to shut up and let the music do the talking. Whizzkid, storm, smiley, ribbz n rude are all quality imo.
Drugs may be the road to nowhere, but at least they're the scenic route. . .

Baldo is right, the real way to assess an MC is on the live performance. Sharkey is an alright MC (lyrically etc) but his energy and crowd interaction is what makes him special. This topic is more about MCs that ppl listen 2 on tape packs.

like i sed at the top i dont like odyssey. as far as mcs go i dont reckon i have heard many as some of the guys u listed above i havnt heard such as ribbz, sharkey and gobstoppa. i like smiley, wotsee, rude. i prefer whizzkid over storm.
