First of all hello there. I'm new round these parts. Used to be well into my ardcore (we're talking bonkers 1 & 2 days here) and I still love listening to it (the new stuff is pretty good too, the production's got a helluva lot better since those days) but I'm more of a drum n bass man now. Anyway, I wanted to introduce to you the man they call MC Jonny P. Met him at uni in Birmingham and he's safe as ****. He's only been MCing for less than 2 years but I reckon he's got some serious skillz and I wanted you lot to have a listen and give some feedback/appreciation/whatever :) He definitely deserves some bookings imo.

They're all his records (he's started DJing recently too but he's been collecting vinyl for a while now) and I'm afraid I haven't got a tracklist (i'll try to get hold of him and sort one out soon though - it starts with that angel eyes tune anyway :P). The mixing's also pretty shoddy coz I'm not used to mixing hardcore anymore and didn't know the tunes at all, but this isn't about my mixing anyway =]
So have a listen and let us know what u reckon

he seems a little random to me... like he doesn't seem to know the tracks and so seems to say stuff all around the place... might just be me, heh
I do have to say he hasn't got an annoying voice or anything, which is a good thing... but why does everything have to rhyme?
and "Go DJ get 'em boy" is nicked from MC Odyssey 
overall i would say he is good... and i must admit he is better than some PROFESSIONAL MC's i have heard... (from Uprising)
a little more work to his stuff, and try not to get every other line rhyming coz thats so annoying, and he will go far i think

sounds pretty good. sounds like a british mc to me though, reminds me of mc wotsee, ryhming over the vocals and such, that can get kinda old though.

i would agree with trabilizer, he is good but rhyming constantly gets annoying

cheers for the comments so far. i'm not sure what you guys mean about rhyming too much tho. isn't that what mcs are supposed to do? :P
maybe i should have added as well that this was recorded for a laugh and wasn't planned on being posted anywhere or heard by anyone else particularly and he was mainly testing some new lyrics out (in fact i hope he doesn't mind me posting this). we are planning on recording a proper studio mix very soon which i'll post on here where he'll be properly warmed up and i'll have a bit more of an idea of tunes i want to play so the trainwrecks don't spoil it so much.
also, could anyone point me towards any good recent online sets?

Go in the upper menu bar Forums -> Profile
From there you can change the signature, aftre you've edited the signature, remember to press Submit.
