IS AUS$22 JUSTIFIABLE FOR TWO TUNES AT THE RISK OF ONE SIDE BEING SHITE OR JUST NOT MIXABLE?

I'VE PAID UP TO $60 FOR SECOND HAND TUNES THAT I PERSONALLY WANT & WILL NEVER FIND AGAIN OR PLAY OUT AT THE RISK OF THEM GETTING DAMAGED BUT WOULD YOU PAY A COLLECTOR'S PRICE FOR A RECORD THAT'S BEEN PLAYED OVER 200 TIMES?

w'll forgive you.. but only because its australia day and im feeling patriotic towards are numerous under appreciated caps lock keys.

Me, personally, 20c, is too much for a record , by paying for bandwidth , i see that as paying for records =p. im plentyful in love and seashells, if only i could pay in that.

In a word... YES! vinyl can be too expensive.

I'm gonna splash out on some CD decks to sit next to my turntables so if there's a song i really want to play but cant find or afford the vinyl at least i can play the Cd.

Vinyl has not increased in price for years... I recommend you buy the tunes direct from England on the net, it's cheaper if you buy in lots of 10.

The only vinyls i find quite expensive are old happy gabba and european hardcore but thats only if there really hard to find like this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4070291019. Must admit i've heard oz is a right rip off for some old school like ultrasonic, dyewitness etc that arent rare over here at all but thats what it's all about havin tunes other people want. If you think uk hardcore ravers spend a lot on particular vinyls check out the ravers from the north east into old makina here http://www.ultimatebuzz.net/index.php?page=/forum&tab=sublinks where i regularly see vinyls go for £80 - £100 in the3 personal record sales. Although it sounds daft if you get bored of them you can always sell them on again and make your money back, the only risk is if the vinyl gets repressed the originals will lose some of their value but still worth a good whack. Basically if people werent prepared to pay daft prices then there wouldnt be a market but as there is it'll keep goin on so you just need to think is the vinyl worth the price your paying for it IN YOUR EYES. If so buy it if not don't, personally i'l never pay more than £50 for a tune and thats only if it's one i cant live without in my box.

Venga familia!!!

But then again mole if you look at it a different way you can make a good bit of cash searchin around for valuable tunes. Some people dont no how much their classics are worth so with a bit of lookin about you can find some bargains then sell them on its quite easy money. Thing is the more you look the more tempted you get to buy other tunes you want but if you can control it can help pay for your own collection if nothing more. Aint exactly a career move but if your always sittin on the net like i was in my last job is defo worth tryin. I do agree though compared to cds isnt good value but i much prefer vinyls and wont stop usin them.

Venga familia!!!

costs of pressings, etc, costs of setting up and running a label, etc, etc.
its not like many record labels make that much money anyway - can't see record labels braking even if the price of vinyl went down!

In a world where now everyone has a CD burner and CDRs are a dime a dozen, CDs really just seem worthless to me.

Vinyl on the other hand.. they still take much effort to get pressed. So I feel I'm getting my moneys worth when I buy them.

Its $20 from One Stop.

Granted the awesome feel of vinyl, I still think that it is a lot and there are some labels that have CD's available with more tracks (An introduction to Climatic Moments from RFU).

Anyway, $20 is a lot for 2 tracks :-/
