well i think there's a lot of new and old elements in all Happy Hardcore musik, and the good thing about happyhard is that there are different types of Happy Hardcore , because it has evolved since the early oldskool to the present. cos u got:
Trancey Happy Hardcore - owing to the Trancey side of happy hard with trance and uplifting Trancecore oriented music in it..
Darker Happy hardcore - happy hardcore but with a lot of 'dark' samples used in it.
Jungle - ish Happy Hardcore - mainly from the early Oldskool and contains drum rhythms and loops/breakbeat samples, etc... typical of such bands as Jimmy J/Cru-L-T and breaks labels..
then u got the :
Hardcore Gabber/Techno oriented Happy Hardcore - with the Hardcore drums and gabber bassed influences heavily involved, 4/4 kickin' techno beats...
anyone know any other types of Happy hardcore - please add on to my list ,

i think the last category you listed would be called dutch gabber/hardcore.
you cant forget cheesecore, and a term that i made up, hard cheese

there's rotterdam hardcore,or is that classed as dutch happy??
and i'd split the trance-core into 2 sub-genres as well,coz there's the "light" trancey songs done by ppl like innovate and stuff,
then there's the darker trance-core,what i always called hard trance,which is the type of music done by hixxy,ufo and so on.

rottherdam hardcore is the harder stuff.
dj promo , paul or enzyme records.

rotterdam's the type of hardcore where it's basically just a distorted kick drum and a melody line. not very much to it but it still rocks

I quite like the Gabba Happy Hardcore stuff.
Especially the end of Scott Browns sets.
Best ive heard (& most funniest)is a song with a Ali-g sample in it.

There's also the very distinct genre of hhc which is the stereotypical "happy" hardcore - the tinkly type with bouncy piano lines, etc. (Personally, it takes a very good one of these tracks to make me "happy".)

Technically these are all the hardcore genres. I hate genre classing tho as theres always gonna be trakcs that sit in the middle

theres one spanish track that i like that doesnt have mosquito noises in it. Its a rip of an old dance song called Don't Stop by Buzzy Bus. Does anyone know what its called?
