What is the reaction of people when you tell them you listen to hardcore?
When i tell people i listen to hardcore they normal have a look of confusion like you have just turned green on them or sumthin and say why?
Well i just normal smile walk away and say you are the one's missing out!

Most people I talk to just called it "TECHNO!" it used to bother me, now the way I see it is if they dont want to listen to it its there loss for missing out on the best type of music in the world :)

all my mates like trance music really (not there main genre they listen to though, well not all) so they ain't really that bad and i do hardcore cds for my mates car and no-one moans or complains

Well I have gotten a variety of reactions.
-I have a friend who is massively into trance who hates most stuff that goes above 140 BPM (and I think the faster the better ^_^) and he thinks its horrible
-Most people say "That fast crap?"
-Some people say "WTF is 'hardcore'?"
-Guys tend to say "Hardcore? Like hardcore porn?? *drool*"
-But the best reaction was my boyfriend, who said "...A kind of techno that I don't know of? Show me!!" and then I had him hooked on it

chicken how old is your boyfriend, i remember listening to hardcore tapes when i was like 7-8 (there were my brothers) but lost interest in it till a few months ago again
used to be weird though when you're 8 and listening to hardcore and everyone else is discussing take that or something similar lol

Haha Have to totally agree with that!!
I remember being hugely into hardcore and when I was at school....'Take That' and all that other crap was the only thing people talked about....There was some radio station: "Atlantic 252" that everyone was into...I just sat back and loved my tapes...

i'm in my late 20's, so when i talk to most people they are my same age, so they have gotten over the whole, "you suck because of your hobbies" stage in their lives. even when i talk to other dj's, they are cool with it, because they don't care what you play, just as long as you don't play after their set.
