MC Konny (or it may be MC Yamamoto) sux!!! I don't know if anybody has listened to his rhymes but from his demo tapes you can tell that his english sucks and that he should stick to rhyming in Japanese. For an entire hour this guy was repeating "Happy Hardcore Tiiiiiiiime...happy hardcore.....hardcore time," over and over again.

I can honestly say I've NEVER heard a japanese hardcore MC. Thank God.

I personally think Japanese MC's should MC in Japanese but they stick to broken english... I have been asked many times to MC just based on the fact I speak english in Japan... Even did it a few times...haha.... I was on tour with vinylgroover and I MCed for him... will have to dig out a photo :)
it's all hardcore.

Agreed, though i think it might work better for Japanese people this way. E.g. if i would hear a finnish MC (dont think there even is any though), it would have to be 100 times better, then an english MC to it sound good. I'm much more critical on lyrics/mc'ing/singing when its on my own language. Usually when i hear finnish rap i wanna die in embarrasment :p Though some of it is good...

alhough i never heard a japanese mc, i am not to keen on mc's to start with
i don't mind them doing the occasional bits in songs like 20 seconds a time but i hate it when they do it constantly over a recond and if it is just the same thing repeated or every line rhymes
my opinion, don't take offense to it if you are an mc or really like them

If you hate mc's, you'd really hate Japanese MC's because they won't stop singing about how "it's hardcore time." Oh, and then when that Mc is over with, the next one will get on stage and start singing about how "hardcore for life....hardcore for life....get your feet up....move your feet...yeah!!" Usually this is the only english they know...so they'll repeat it for about an hour. I wonder if Japanese MC's can get booked in the UK or Canada??

haha, its not MC KONNY nor MC YAMATO.
YAMATO sings english well( In 1999, in Ireland he won the " Voodoo Scratch Attack" competion in which DMC champion DJ,DJ Mek and Rodney P. were judges. He's made appearances at the local radio station " Power FM" and his name is quite known in the Irish Hip Hop scene. ) and KONNY sings his own language :)
