Just saw the article on Daydream returning to hardcore!! Is this a one off or is he going to start pumping out tunage on labels full time again?? I certainly hope it's for good, he is one of the best hardcore producers ever.. He'd be up there with Darren Styles and Ham when it come to quality tracks.. He had a massive following in the Sydney rave scene in the mid to late 90's.. Listen to some of his tracks on the older Bonkers and you'll know what i'm saying..

I remember DJ haze approached him a while back to see if he was going to do some tracks for Executive Records, he said he was left for good.
Interesting. I would like to hear what he is doing now though.

He is 100% not returning to hardcore unfortunately.
He is making a return showcasing his newest trance tracks.
I think it was a bit pre mature to announce he was returning to hardcore.

Daydream is returning to the hardcore scene... he's playing a hardcore event... I went off the flyer info... the flyer makes no mention to that daydream is making trance or hardcore. No offence here but I think it's a bit dodgy for the promotor not to mention that on the flyer as other people are going to come to the same conclusion as me.

i admit he was good and galaxy is a very warming song for me but i hate the idea off certain djs jumping on the hardcore ride when it suits and jumping off at the new musical in thing.etc etc

That's very disapointing if he's playing trance.. Hardcores what he's known for.. Was talking to a mate last night who said he's last set he played was Trance.. Money Talks..

Copied*
*Alienation [AU] Debut Performance
Alienation is the collaboration between rave legend Dj Daydream and Mr. Scattered himself, Dj Midian. With several tracks already completed, and more on the way, this is the first time Alienation steps out of the studio and onto the stage. Expect to hear loads of their brand new tunes: hard, melodic, uplifting and driving trance, mixed up with the biggest anthems of the moment in a decks + FX live set.*
Oh and Midian the promoter is a top bloke

Hi Silver,
Here is a link to our flyer: http://www.echild.info/events/2005/scattered/scattered%20inside.jpg Please have a read, taking note of the section "Alienation" and the fact that it clearly states that it's a trance collaboration. While I am over the moon to have my name mentioned on the front page of Happyhardcore.com alongside Daydream (woot), it is certainly possible to take offence to having my promoting/event insinuated as being "a bit dodgy" in this thread, when the only thing that was dodgey was the fact that they flyer obviously wasn't read properly the first time. Luckily I assume that this was obviously a misunderstanding/oversight on your behalf and that you'll indeed recognise such :) A big thanks to Hazy for pointing out that we indeed did have the correct information published. Scattered events have built up a sold reputation over 7 years of quality events, and I most certainly would not risk our reputation by publishing the wrong thing about our acts. Alienation is a project we've been working on for quite a while now, and we're both excited as all hell to bring our bangin hard trance to the stage on March 19th! Finally, to Kindler, to say that money talks is a rather unfair statement in regards to him writing trance. While I don't speak for him directly, he's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't - isn't he? One post (mj-dream) says he would be jumping on the bandwagon (i.e. cash in) if he returned, but on the other hand you say he's a sellout (i.e. money talks) if he does trance? He can't win either way, can he? Here's a different way of thinking about it. What about if he feels like he achieved all he wanted in the hardcore scene, and is now looking for new challenges? What more could he do? He made it to the very top of his game as a DJ, Record Label Owner and as a Producer. If he wants another challenge, why not start afresh somewhere new? Like I said I'm not speaking for him here, that's just my opinion as a friend. There's nothing happy hardcore in the pipeline as yet, but if there ever is you guys will be the first to know :) Cheers, and hope to see those of you in Sydney at Scattered! -Midian

My words often get picked apart, there was no read-between-the-lines nasty comments implied by my part and I still consider it front page news as Daydream was actually a long time friend of mine as well :)
I'm not trying to put a downer on your party or anything, I'm sure it will be off the wall :)
Yeah your correct about the trance promotional thing, I still think of Daydream as returning to hardcore, even if it pitched trance perhaps :)
it's all hardcore.

sorry to bring up old topics, but he now is back in a hardcore way. Not produce as he once was but he is playing an old red rocket set at an upcoming event, which should be very interesting indeed
