every decade has had its travesties and disasters.
i personally can't see how the world is any worse than it woz during WW1, WW2, Vietnam, etc......despite the ever-growing population of neds in britain.
its not black and white, its just different shades of grey.
.........IMO

Yeah the world has gone crazy both positively as wellas negatively. But I think the world sort of remained the same. Lots of things went bad but other things shot for the better. Its all a balance, kinda like the ying and yang.

I think the 60's would have been a terrible time to live in.. Bad clothes, shocking music like The Beatles, Elvis etc.. Bad hair styles.. Racism and corruption was everywhere in the 60's.. Loads of serial killers and gangsters were around.. Probably more crime than now cause there was'nt DNA and other police technologies available..
Terrorism is nothing new, its been going on for years.. The IRA terrorised England for yonks.. Australia and America was terrorised from the Japs during the second world war while Hitler terrorised the world.. America had Russian missiles pointed at them throughout the 80's..
The world in general is the best it's been.. More cures for deseases, more world aid than ever to help the poorer countries, more acceptance and tolerance, better music, telivision, fashion.. Man I could go on forever about how it's better now than the 60's!!

I used to have a dvd from woodstock '69, the clothes people wore there, were mostly the same stuff people wear these days :)

Dont forget what America did to Nagasaki and Hiroshima in Japan, or what the allied did to Dresden in Germany. or that America had missiles pointing to Soviet Union (not Russia) at the same time. Or bloodysunday, witch was one of the reason IRA got support from people.
