When i first heard happy hardcore there was a lot of the chickmunk sounding vocals but since I've gotten a littel more into it i havent heard any more. I thought there would be a lot of it cause they spead up tracks and it would be hard to finde cds without chickmunks singing. Why is this? Do only a few dj's have that style or was it just my imagination?

Hello, I love you.

Chipmonk vocals was mainly used in the early years of hardcore. It's hard to find new tunes with those type of vocals now... (Unless you get makina..and speed it up!! )

I personally love the chipmonk vocals and would prefer them to start making a comeback....but I think the scene is divided on that...some love it....some don't.

Is it me or is is Chipmunk, anyway...

I think the reason you don't hear them as much nowadys is because the music has evolved and matured, now people producing hardcore have actual talent, rather than using nursery rhyme's and sped up vocals ect

fair topic i see y u asked the question and all but im going to be really honest and say i feel let down that i ddnt see a picture of a chick and a chipmonk thatd been cross bred when i opened this topic! gods honest i was actually expecting somekind of weird photo or something. man thatd be crazy tho a baby chick with all its cuteness crossed with agile almost ninja like crazy jumpy moves n shit of a chipmonk. But yeah back to the actual real question here u mite as well ask y we dont get the same amount of acid crazy f*cked on drugs rock as u did in the 60s, music moves on ppl do different things, itll resurface and bob around for a bit like every type of music does it just that its times been and gone for the moment.
