hey i been listening to the radio here lately and i noticed that almost all dj's just drop the track in and mix out between 16-32 bars.
i was wondering how u drop in cause i do it different. the way i do it is i drop it in and then slowly move the volume fader up. but i noticed u guys just drop it and quicky move the sound up. how do u guys do that exactly?
i was wondering am i mixing wrong?

well I mostly fade, but i go after the bars (about each time I notice a new 'loop' or 'pattern' starts)
There is no wrong way to mix, as long as the transactions good, it's good with most people

Same here, i drop the track then let it run with the volume down/mute, then as the pattern loops/resets as it where, i quickly put the fader across so it sounds like the track has just droped in, simple.

sometimes if the track ends in a bass heavy breakbeat, i'll mix on that, but it has to be perfect or else it sounds like shit.
don't stand and stare, just kick your legs in the air
