Hi Everyone 0/

I have started writing reviews and taking photos for galleries on www.4clubbers.net, so far i have done H.T.I.D. Foam Party @ Air, Hard Dance Awards @ Polysexual, Illusion @ Zero, and will be doing Raver Baby-The Launch this weekend! One thing i noticed while working for 4clubbers is... there is a lot of interest from DJs, and MCs about the website an are keen for promotion of their events etc, and this has inspired me into starting up and promoting my own club night!

I am thinking of doing a DJ & MC competition, this will be in conjuction with a Hardcore night i am planning to start up in the Midlands, the winners of the competition will get a residency at my club night! So if anyone is interested then email me with a few details about yourself and experience, and a mix if possible.

As i've said, i am planning to start up a Hardcore night in the Midlands, and wondered if anyone could provide me with the info on:

Costs of starting up, clubs etc. Flyer companies, flyer droppers, merchanise stalls, bacdrop designers, web designers, promoters, email or phone numbers of DJs/MCs, clubs that might be interested, other Hardcore websites, info on sound systems and lighting, agents/agencies, and anyone in the business that could help really! Anything that i've missed as well lol!

I have a few venues in mind, but they are only small, and was wondering if it is better to go for a smaller venue/event, or try for a bigger venue and of course a bigger risk? How would i also get big names in the industry to DJ or MC at my club night, if i was to go for a bigger venue (obiviously i would need them to attarct ravers to make my money back and not go bust)!?

Hope someone out there can help

Cheers

Andrew
