I dont know if it's rare, but my most expensive vinyl in my collection (atm) is Bass-X vs Scott Brown - Pilgrim/Pilgrim 2000, and a good copy to boot.
it cost me £20
http://www.discogs.com/sell/list?release_id=88568&ev=rb well, considering these prices, it wasnt the most expensive one.. tho it's abit over priced.. I like the DJ Veggie one :)

Digger - Episode One (Church of Ra/Nanukai) (original, proper pressing. original blue/white costa sleave..
http://www.discogs.com/Digger-Episode-I/release/105954 Off Yer Nut Volume One and i guess this one has just overtaken digger as most expensive vinyl i own? http://www.discogs.com/Various-Off-Yer-Nut/release/1379500

So ? It's cheap, but it's rare! We didn't say "the most expensive" but "the rarest" :P
And it was one of the first Hardcore tracks ever, remember this is how everything started.

That's as maybe mate but

the not so good news is that these were going for £25 a year or so ago -
http://www.discogs.com/sell/item/11829830?ev=bp_img ....bugger, I've got 2 of those.... Revs has a point. Dunno how rare these are though.

well sir, you have a fine point!
though one might assume there wouldnt be quite so many copys at such a low price if it were rare ;)

yeh, that's what I was thinking.... so, 'rareish' would be a better description. ;-)

Has anyone got an original copy of 'Triple J - 99 Red Balloons'?
I remember reading a '100 rarest vinyls' in M8 before, cant remember if that was Dance music only, but that was listed at about 90 I think & that was the only hardcore vinyl listed.
I think it was because it got released then discontinued after 500 copies. I was reading this M8 in Ibiza at the time so my memories a little hazy : s

Yep you're right, because Hardcore was so popular in 1988!

Do you know this car ?
It's a Mercedes E-Class from 1972. You don't see them anywhere anymore. It's a rare car. However, it would never cost more than € 1000. Simple...
