i've been into breakbeat/hardcore since i was about 13 and recently went to slammin vinyl (last evr big rave i went to was probably 1994) and was upset by the state the hardcore scene is at the moment.
It has just become a 4/4 beat in most tunes now, hardly any variation between tunes and to be honest, most of my time was spent in the drum and bass arena, where the music at least resembles the sounds of pre 1999. i apreciate that most producers today do not want to rip off other peoples ideas but the music just seems stale at the moment. I do like listening to old skool sets especially around 93-94 but i just seem to be loosing intrest with the hardcore scene at the moment.
sorry to be a bit of a negative post, but i had to get this off my chest

http://forum.kniteforce.co.uk/ the master is still producing and lots of others too. check it out ;) it might only be hanging on in a tiny scene but everyone supporting it helps it grow! ****************************************** If someone ever asks you why, you spend your weekends getting high, theres only ever one reply: IM HARDCORE UNTIL I DIE!
