I'd disagree with you there mate all depends what area of the country your in imo. In london raves and down south dnb takes most the gangs etc but not everywhere's like that, in glasgow a dnb event would be fulla students and vice versa.
I couldnt care myself wouldnt let it stop me goin out, thats called paranoia and luckily i dont get it for no reason, but i think you'd be blind if you said that happy style raves in yorkshire, the north east, glasgow etc arent fulla the folks people would say are chavs, charvers, neds or whatever your area calls quite probably most of the young folk round there.
I've been ravin 4-5 years now all up and down the country and apart from a couple minor bits of trouble from people i've already new before going out, i can honestly say i've never had one night out spoiled by someone else and had so many of the best nights of my life and the best mates i've got through it.
In short i agree with hooverloover people that stereotype all the time do need to get out more and realise every persons different and you cant fit everyone in a box. Hardcore scenes always been about whoever you are and whatever your style is you can come and get a party and i hope it stays that way.

chavs?? well wer im from hear in n.ireland we call them scallys or hoods
they r the people that security guards watch when they r in shops most people who get caught stealing r dressed in traksuits baseball caps ect
hooverlover has a top class photo on page one of a scally/hood or now chav i dident kno they wer called that till now.good shit

Thankfully there is'nt a great number of chavs in the hardcore scene nowadays, n i will tell u why. Its coz they lyk Mc music e.g. Criketers, Manroes and even Wigan Pier (iv u havent herd ov any ov them u wont kno what im talking abowt, all i can describe them as s**t!)

the funny thing with chav`s is they really really think that there the best thing since sliced bread. goddamn trailer trash, benefit scammin,burberry luvvin nob jockeys!
another example of a chavette is vicky pollard from little britain. if anyone can post a picture of darling vicky on this thread then I think all who see it will no exactly what a chavette is!!!

My Observations:
At Slammin' NYE most of the chavs were in the DnB room. The sound system was bu**ered in there but they didn't seem to notice! lol!
Chavs don't dance. They stand around with their mates trying to look hard, chewing gum, swearing and nicking peoples' drinks.
At HH@Slinky there weren't any chavs and we have come to the conclusion this is because of the Slinky dresscode which is no caps, no scruffy trainers and no tracky bottoms - sorted!

none of you understand, a chav is a word that has forever been used to describe a pikey anyone whos area gets invaded by proper pikeys will no this I dont mean pikey as in tracksuit wearin fake jewlery i mean leave skool at 12 to be a builder lives in a caravan type pikey!! sorry it just winds me up that any young person who happens to own a pair of trackies seems to be classed as a chav
