Heres the deal. Throwing parties is very complex time consuming and money draining.....To say the least. My advice would be to keep trying throughout highschool. Start smaller though. You cant just jump strait into huge events.
Also, if you ever go to college, you should be able to swing school funding if you orginize a school group/club. Then you would have facilities and funding....all you would need would be promoters and such.
So good luck and never stop trying, you'll eventualy get it!

That would help, because then you could pay for promoters and DJs Lighting etc.

I think it would be a good idea if it was on a biggish scale Lucificifus, i.e. more than 200 people.
But are you sure you dont want to go to your prom? Its tradition, you may not like school etc now but when you get older you realise they where happy days and you may regret not going to your prom.
I almost never went to mine, but glad i did it was amazing. We hired limos and all wore tuxedos and that. You just look at the pictures from it and treasure the memories.
If your event doesnt work out, you might as well go to the prom.
(Your have big ideas though which can only be good)

i remember my prom well i spent most of the night dunk and cruising around in a limo suv woth a bunch of drunk, half-naked guys and girls. ahhh school what a lovely time that was

Me and my mates went in a mini bus, went through maccas drive through and threw ice creams at cars....
Then we hit Amazons in Parramatta. Oh, those were the good times. :)
