at the end of the day, everybody says "the artists dont get anything from tape pack sales" but the artists go back and play at the next event (knowing their set will be released on tape), so they obviously dont care. and also you say the artists need money, so do the promoters (i no they get alot from ticket sales neway) but the more the better. promoters get money from the tape pack sales and using the money can put on better and bigger events for us.

I use a creative audigy platinum and creative recorder. Then edit with wave lab. All u need to do then is hock up a tape deck to the line in. One prob tho the recording levels on the tapes shoot up and down so u need to keep an eye on it to avoid clipping.

at the end of the day theses tapes packs have been coming out for about 15 years so the artists and djs cant be that bothered about them or they wud have put a stop to it years ago. There r lots of people who buy the packs because they couldnt make it to the event or if they did go to it then they like to be able to hear it again nad from the djs point of view he or she cud earn a lot of respect from this especially if they know they played a good set. i remember back in the day slipmatt used to get my upmost respect for his constant flawless mixing on pretty much any tape of his
