no i mean the money that goes to the immigrants in total is about 5% of what people on the dole get
i.e there are like 20x more people on dole than immigrants
the thing has been blown out of proportions by the government parties

Well 5% is huge then considering the immigrant population of Britian is about 2%.
Also, it isn't the parties making a fuss about immigration because all of their policies on immigration are a joke, the public is making the fuss and the conservatives are trying to take advantage of that fact because they are slightly more right wing and are bound to have a tougher policy on immigration.
In fact the only party trying to blow the immigration problem out of proportion is the BNP because those issues are what the party is founded on.
I am not being manipulated by the government to think the problem is worse than it is, if anything it is quite the opposite.

^^^i dont. i think theres lots more important issues besides immigration. like healthcare, education, unemployment, the economy etc. immigration is just a topic of the moment.

NHS and rail services are what need to be sorted out drastically aswell as university fees, there is a shortage in teachers, nurses, doctors etc and instead of giving people incentives to train to become them to stop the shortage they make people pay to become them, labour must have been on crack
and 2% of the british population would be about 1.3-5 million, there are not that many asylum seekers in the UK
the cost of the money that is used to cover them is absolutely nothing when put in perspective, the dome cost the tax payer over 700million, railway service in last 5 years has cost 2billion+, immigration isn't doing anything on the country, let alone 'crippling the economy' like i have heard so many people say
it is just the topic of the moment and has been blown way out of proportions

well very few of those immigrants require benfits from the government, they are either here for jobs or have qualifications for jobs or are here illegally so can't claim benefits

If they get about 5% of what is going to benifits they must be getting a lot if there are apparently so few of them!

not really, dunno exact figures but i think i remember it being around 50-100k and about 1.5-2mil on the dole
and they all get paid pretty much the same amount monthly

The government need to start getting some balls! y do u think that all the asylum seekers come here!?!? coz they know that the government is soo fcukin soft and they will get let in and us the British public will pay for them to be here! its not on! , there aint no other country they would get into coz they would just get sent back, or passed onto us!
Rail service needs sorting out big time charley! I get the train every day to work and its crap! I went to Cardiff for the FA Cup semi by train, booked seats in advance, got to train station and there was no 'reservation's' we had to stand up all the way!! CRAP!
That's my opinion!

germany has 75% of the immigrants int total for europe, they let them in for cheap labour and work in hotels, most of them are turkish
and USA lets loads in working in construction and other menial labour
