Talk to your systems administrator: are you at a college (university) or a highschool? If you are at a college (if they are smart AT ALL) they have a VPN of some kind of a passcoded, user specific proxy, and you will probably use your school's PIN to get access to the VPN. If you are at a highschool, just use a public proxy to bypass your schools proxy. It will probably be slower, but meh. Deal with it if you want to use a sploit.
My favorite proxy:
IP: 67.120.207.242
Port: 3128
Its transparent, so don't think you can get away with anything stupid. Like piracy.
Anyway, have fun learning the internet. And typing.
PS: What school do you go to that won't give you the IP for the local proxy?

haha, yeah talk to the it/system admin...if you're at high school more than likely they won't give you access since they want to keep kids from looking at all the crap kids look at out =P

there use to be some geocities sites that got parst proxies and network settings
I use to use them to go to websites when I use to use freeonline back in 2000

Depending on your network you might be able to remove the proxy and surf directly but in most cases the proxy is also your gateway to the internet.
it's all hardcore.
