Blizzard Tracks is now 100% Digital! We're jumping feet first into the digital era and have dropped vinyl production. We are now distributing our releases in mp3 (320kbps) and cd format exclusively through NuEnergy's Online Store.

sad but good think i just got me 2 cdj-200's yesterday.

I still love the feel of vinyl.

However, with the advent of "digital labels", it means any schmoe can make a label. I feel strongly against this, but I cant be assed to explain, except for this:

Flooding the scene with badly made, bad quality tunes isnt good.

I dont want to diss people, I dont want to be a troll and flame people, but thats my honest opinion.

Well this is good news i think :)

I stopped spinning vinyl about a year ago and i can get most labels on cd now. I think its pretty obvious that the quality of cds is better and sooner or later all labels will have to release on cds.

I dont think its a bad thing that more people are capable of releasing on cd / mp3. If you dont like the tunes then dont play them. Its good to have a bit more variety available.

hey maybe dj liquid can finally put out some hardcore then? =P

a properly mastered record sounds much better than any cd imo, bummer the distribution in north america is horrible.

one thing I don't like about cd's is it takes away from the eliteness of owning and playing out of a limited pressing, plus colored/picture vinyls look so much better hanging on a wall than a cd =P

Sorry but how can a properly mastered vinyl sound better then the cd which was used as source for the vinyl ??

I do agree with the 2nd half of your statement though. I did used to love the old picture disks etc.

Vinyl kinds of changes the quality a bit, from what i've gathered it makes the sound a bit more fuller. Not a purposeful thing, but some people prefer it.

easly
Take Scott brown - boomstick
The version on the unmixed CD2 sounds way more industrial hardcore, its flat and you can hear tiny details.
But when you play the vinyl, its more bassy and distorted to hell, sounding better on big speakers :P

edit: on another note, good luck with the online thing, hopefully you make more profits and helps you release more quality tracks

Keep it hardcore
