im always on this web site but ive only just signed up reply 2 me if u think new hardcore like all this trancey hardcore is better than old skool cus i definately think it is hardcore as come a long way and it just keeps on getting better but a rude old skool tune is power of love (unreplaceable). but new tunes like dont cry 4 me by mc storm just gets me buzzin.

Both have there place in my heart, I certainly think the production quality has got better over the years. In all honesty I would like something inbetween, the newskool bass with the oldskool melodys, although I dont mind the trance riffs they do get a bit samey and have taken away one of the vital elements that made hardcore so different to other dance genres IMO.

old skool will always kick ass if you ask me.......
i love the new stuff too especially freeform gabba n breakbeat
cheese wise im not as keen on new cheese as i am old........the new cheese doesnt cut it like it did in 90s.
also not liking the .....mild cheese lol as in the sort silver plays a bit of and is on hcore tunes 3........although i can tolerate it a lil more than the proper cheese.
i sorta like sum bouncey stuff but not the type with the trance hits in them.........i like digi blip melodies alot in bouncey stuff.
so yer i like both but i think oldskool rules the roost imo

As much as I still love the newer stuff to bits, I'm ALWAYS going to have to say old-skool. That was some hot $hit and the vibe will never be re-created and never beaten.

Seriously love both, but the NU Skool is, IMO of course, more uplifting nowadays. You did have quite a few uplifting hardcore in the past, but there just seems to be more now.. i think..

Old skool all the way, you should check out my radio show every Tuesday if you feel the same way (shameless plug lol). Think pianos are more uplifting thn the newer, trancier sound, though some of the stuff around at the moment is ace.
