why would i want new ones? i got argueably the best decks on the market. stronger motor than the 1210s, more features, look nicer and better build quality.
even if i got new ones theres no way shed have these ones off me... worth too much money to just be giving them away.
but yeah as far as geminis go.. ive not heard much good things about them.
the way things are going i think ill go for the numark battle pack. not too expenisve, nice looking little set-up. will deffo need a new mixer tho but the one that comes with it will do for now.
cheers for your help people!
i appreciate it!

cirtonic pd1 mk2's are good for their money imo. they hold the beats tight as **** for a set of cheap decks! £260 i think it is for a brand new set..

how can a motor not mean anything lol???
that's what makes the deck!?? if you got a crap motor then the decks is gona have poor torque and stability.
colour has nothing to do with it.
i'd say a far better example would be to say that my car was quicker than your's because it's a 2.0L if yours was a 1.6L or something... which it's more than likely would.
silver... explain, i'm confused lol!

i think he means its how well they can stay at a constant velocity that is important?
(depends what engine is in what car and how heavy it is. a 1.6 nova will beat a 2.0 astra beacuse of the power to weight ratio)

yeah i guess in a way.
i'm not gonna deny 1210's have been proven unbeatable for years but times are changing and they have been beaten, same as vinyl will die, less people buy it so therefore the cost goes up for for people that do buy which will then result in less people buying it, meaning we're all gonna need cdj's!

Torque does not mean anything in a deck... all you need is a deck that can keep a pitch... that is it! The rest is all crap used to sell the decks... For example Stanton decks CAN NOT hold a pitch above 150BPM, they are near impossible to mix on at hardcore speeds.
it's all hardcore.

if you beatmatch and they dont go out you aint got a problem... for the top range of decks's id say its pretty much all down to personal preference

We had a pair of gemini 2400's and never had a problem with them, moved up2 some tech 1210 m5's i gota say i was critical of the price of 1210's but they were worth it.
I found that because the phisical size of the pich control was shorter on the tech's than the gemini's i was timing mixes up much faster and was able to mix better.
On the subject of gemini, personally i found them to be sound on value for money, we gave them alot of stick for two years or so and had no probs, i since sold them on and know there still working fine. Must be nearly four yeasr old now. [email protected]
