People have been saying that this song is on the verge of hardcore.
Do you think I should make a pure hardcore remix of this?
What do you all think about trance and hardcore being mixed?
The track is called "free reign." The end gets a little psycho. You can listen to it at one of these two places:

hey man i havent had the chance to listen to the song u gave links to but i think a perfect example of trance & hardcore being mixed are da djz mark breeze & darren styles (a.k.a breeze & styles). They have some solid hardcore songs that have a trancey feel to them n i think this is what makes them unique compared to other hardcore djs. A good example of a trancey/hardcore song they have mixed is dj sammy - sunlight (breeze and styles remix) i dunno if anyone else agrees.

I dont agree it's what makes them unique as there are 1000 other dj's doing the same thing at the moment but yeah it works.

No Left Turn and his friend did a VS. set where they played Euro and 45rpm Trance :D sounded great, imo, so why not hardcore and 45rpm trance being mixed toghether?

I think if you made it hardcore it would be abit more upbeat and exciting but its still a good song to chill out to!

I tend to lean towards the harder styles of hardcore at the moment, but to be honest i dont think hardcore would be where it is today without the trancey influence...

with a kick like that its trance. if u were to make that track hardcore it would need to sped up and you would have to have about 3 times the darker kick drum.
