Ello all,
I was recently listening to Sydney's more popular commercial radio station NOVA 96.9 and was suprised to hear the readio host exclaim that he was about to take a 'new' sort of music - Happy Hardcore.
They played 'I can't stop raving' - not new to any of our standards, and the phone lines went CrAzY from callers - the host couldn't believe it!
Suprised to say, I haven't heard any of our beloved tunes since - why, I ask?
Do commercial radios in other countries play happy hard on a regular basis?
Are any of them giving it a try?
How do people feel about happy hard being commercialised on radio?
Sometimes, I think one of the reasons I love it so much is that is such a small neich genre of music, and there's such an affilliation between lovers of it - they go 'shit you love happy hard too!! i thought i was the only one in miles!' On the contray - it's good publicity for our composers, they can sell more records, and we can get more people attending raves. Haha - Sydney would turn into one huge rave on a sat night, that would be fun/ny!

Not much use if you're not near a computer though, or your work computer has no sound card.

Everything will be wireless internet just the same way you can get a cell phone singal anywhere in a few years... the next gen i-pods will have wifi built into them.
it's all hardcore.

thats true. but its kinda crazy that sydney's radio stations are starting to play some, ne one know of RAW.fm?
well they r a commercial dance station, ive heard a bit of hardcore on, but its all crap really, nothing that HHC can handle, i think silver is right, about the new gen ipods having radios, or wotever in them, so that we can go places n still hear our tunes!!
:P this might be a turn for the better people!

I can actually get internet radio through my mobile, I installed some new software recently. You can only access a preset list though I think, I don't think I could access happyhardcore.com through it. Which is a shame really.

ok, i know that people are probobly working really hard to try and get their mobiles running awesomley, (awesomley-theres a new one), any ways, i wreckon the people who make the software should hurry up and make something that can listen to the INTERNET radio stations, such as HHC etc, BUT without losing credit or spending shitloads of money, HAH it could be just like an MP3 player, but a phone...:s on second thoughts i would just get an MP3 player, easier n i dare say, cheaper too!
but yeah, the phone thing is still cool, i dont diss you for it.

hmm ok, i know this isnt apart of the post, but since we are on the topic of sydney and thereabouts, i wanted to know if ne one can point me in the direciton of a dj shop, i dont want ebay, i dunno why, dont ask, but i really do need a dj shop, so that i can check out the equipment n stuff like that, so if ne one knows of a couple of places, pref in nsw or vic or qld then that would be mad!!!!

You can already listen to happyhardcore.com on your mobile if you have the right phones... In Japan I can listen to it :)
