yeh u are right abut the personal preferance thing. i guess 1210s is the more sensible choice. but my stantons have a start / stop adjust so i can just turn the torque down to be the same as a 1210. im also allowd to use my mates 1210s when ever i want. i use those as much as mine if not more and i always take my mixer with me so i guess i'll be able to use both.

technics are industry standard but for how long? they got tough competition from a lot of other manufacturers. my decks were set to be new industry standard. with the downfall of vinyl lately cdj's is a way we're all gona have to go.

Probably not for too long if they don’t do more with the next 1210's. It doesn't bother me as if I had more functions I doubt I’d ever use them anyway I have everything I need but I know people do like gadget-e things to play around with even if it doesn't appeal to me. I do think however one of the reasons techs are used in so many clubs is due to their warranty and durability as it saves on replacing expensive equipment.

I hope your wrong about cdj's I love vinyl I dont like the idea of vinyl being faded out I feel better stood behind record decks than cd players more in control it might not make sense to anyone else but it does to me.

Yeah more than likely, it does seem to be that Technics are very reliable!

Yeah I will be getting a cdj soon for tracks I have on cd & not vinyl, I think they are great for that but I dont want them as my main bit of kit. As long as we all keep buying/using vinyl I guess they will have to keep making it so I will be getting tracks on vinyl for as long as I can and supporting the format.

lame, cd decks are the best thing to happen for we who make our own music and scratch..being able to scratch anything is just too damn fun.

im going to get a cd deck eventually, stanton c304....YUM!

whats the point in calling me lame because of a preference you have?

even if cdj's do start to rule, i will just take my 1210's (when i get them) wherever i go. fingers crossed ill be dead before this ever happens though!
