they've been cutting out the swearing over here in the states, was funny when madonna said "london are you ****ing ready" and about 10 seconds later she turned round and looked at someone and said "sorry"
the sweating is cut out over here (no beeps, just dips in the sound)

Just got a text from my mate -

I enjoyed the live acts but found it unbelievably frustrating when they asked people to pledge etc - These people are sitting on millions of $'s a year and they're asking us to give to the less fortunate - I'd like to see Elton John live on 9grand a year and pay out to charity that is constantly being guilt-tripped into you. Fair enough to trying to "make poverty history" but I really do think these people should take a second and listen to what they're saying.

have followed mostly the whole day live 8 on dutch television. the highlights for me where greenday in berlin , the who, dido , velvet revolver.

watched pretty much all of it, spot on what was said above - anyone who thinks so little about it is ignorant. some of the best musicians in the world were there (accept mariah carey, of course )
Richard Ashcroft and Coldplay were excellent, didnt realise how hot Dido was either!
