Hey, I am thinking of getting myself some decks but I am not sure if I should buy vinyl or CD decks. Any help people? I've liked Hardcore for ages but I've never tryed to DJ and thought I might as well give it a go, so if anyone has got any tips for a wannabe DJ, I'd be happy if you could help me out, cheers. SK.

both =)
i'd say vinyl because if you want to migrate you'll find it easier,
i can imagine it would be harder going from cd to vinyl than vinyl to cd.
plus wiht vinyl at least you own something unlike spending money for an mp3 which is just digital and doesnt come in a package =D. I love opening big packages that the nice post man delivers

vinyl, because of the feel, because theres somthing about holding the piece of music in your hand...going into a record store and sifting though masses of vinyl looking for that special piece..or reciveing those long awaited tracks in the post...
and because ive seen what happens to most people with cd decks and an internet connection
other hand i like cd decks for the ease of use and practicality, also the ability to scratch whatever you want and play your own matierial is great.

I'd go with vinyl. You can get good on a crap pair of decks for cheap. Learn the basics and such. When you're ready you can upgrade and stuff. Thats the way I'm doing it. Probably works the best.

I've decided to go for the Numark Battle Pack. Someone mentioned it before and I had a little browse and it seems the best cause I am only starting out. SK.

While I love the feel of vinyl, most of what I want to play is on CD
I'm gonna go some cdj's.
