how does it work though? do the grooves not run in a circular manner or is there a bunch of extra stuff on the outside?

In the 80's picture discs were everywhere but they weren't for display only. The actual grooves of the record just fitted in a circle in the middle and the odd shape was just plain blank plastic!

Coolest I've ever seen was a limited edition Michael Jackson set where all the records were SQUARE!

My brother has a guns and roses record in the shape of a gun and some techno record in the shape of a cog all I have is coloured records and picture disks which have all been done before so nout real interesting there my favourite is probably the clear vinyl used for underground recordings no1 break the night that looks pretty nice.
Darren J I have the terror trax you sad about and no1 as well which is similar they look nice definately.
