Starting next week exclusive to http://www.nuenergy.co.uk will be Executive Digital! There will be new upfront tracks from Haze, Antix, ElectriX, The Acolyte and remixes from Impact, Oli G and more. News and artwork to follow shortly. At the end of the English Summer will also see a new label "Executive Whites" starting. The first release that was meant to be Executive #7 will now be Antix - "Today" and "Fly High". Two serious energetic hardcore tracks. Executive #6 is "I Want Freedom" Remixes from Haze and Impact & Ams. The track was also reviewed in the last edition of Upfront magazine. Short samples taken from different parts of the song: A Side: http://haze.c-nrg.net/Exe006a.mp3 AA Side: http://haze.c-nrg.net/Exe006aa.mp3 Finally "The Darkness" and "Rock This" that was scheduled to be on Nu Energy #48 is now being released on Relentless #16. The Darkness - Haze http://www.nuenergy.co.uk/ram/RLNT016-a Rock This - The Acolyte http://www.nuenergy.co.uk/ram/RLNT016-aa -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the lush vocal of ‘Promises’ on our last release, Relentless keeps on coming with its dedicated anything goes approach and for its 16th outing hits out with two slabs of raved-up freeform crossover tracks. The head-twisting mania of solid kick-ass freeform, of course, has featured on Relentless in the past through tracks like Gammer’s stompin ‘Rippin Up, ‘DJ’s Calling’ by Impact and Lost Soul’s majestic ‘Speak Your Mind’. This time round, we’ve got two tracks every bit as boundary breaking as those efforts thanks to the Australian rules of Executive Records’ Haze and his fellow country man The Acolyte. Offering a track that is laced with twisted energy but still soars with uplifting synths, ‘The Darkness’ is arguably Haze’s most proficient outing to date and, for fans of uplifting freeform, is bound to strike a serious chord. Rising out of the eerie warping breakdown, the main melody flies into action to inject pace, power and energy into ‘The Darkness’ while cleverly used pianos add a crossover feel to this slammin freeform number. A second breakdown slows things up with sweeping pads and a new interpretation on the riff before the whole thing pounds back in and sends you rushing into 3am euphoria. Innovative, uplifting and devastatingly effective, ‘The Darkness’ is a bound to have you stomping away like marching soldiers on meths. Havin it! On the flip we’re treated to the energised ‘Rock This’ by The Acolyte. Having conjoured the majestic ‘Lost Without You’ on Executive, The Acolyte steps up to Relentless and delivers a track of intense melodies, classic German trance styled riff work and seriously piercing acid lines. An epic sweeping breakdown raises the emotion levels by cleverly working the lead melodies into the foreground and when it all kicks back in we’re off and away once again…riding the waves of soaring freeform euphoria. Twisted hoovers and the cut-up ‘Rock This’ rap samples add a bit of extra bounce. Two tracks that are more innovative than Einstein yet both seriously uplifting! That's all for now. Cheers Haze
