OR possibly one of the most intersing things,

The other day i was listening to bonkers 13 Scott Browns CD on my mp3 while i was playing football with my mates. I was defending and i was passed the ball by my goalie and since it wasn't a proper match, i thought id make a run. As i started, track 3 kicked in "Sy and Unknown - Rock like this". And i started to dodge past all the players with the best skills id ever done. I remember everything very well. I nutmeged the last defender and took a shot, and i scored (rare occurance).

All this was during the best part of the track, and now everytime i listen to it again, it sounds so much better. And i think its because of the run, it reminds me of it.

Has anyone else noticed that if you do something great while listening to hardcore, then the track sounds better? Or is it just me, in which case you'll think im a bit mad. (hope i didnt sound American like in the JACKASS!!! thread)
Any thoughts?

Same here

But I put hardcore in the user track radio when I played GTA San Andreas and I had to so a mission where I had to follow some guys on these 4 wheel motorbikes very long and it was sooo much better than this lazy hiphop sound.

It really gave me energy to risk more in curves or drive faster and so on...

Hmm isnt that a lil bit selfish of you listening to hc while playing football? u dont hear the people when they yell something to you

"Hey Jon, dont watch the girls on the street, the ball is flying streight to your balls"

eh
every morning, the first thing i do is turn on my speakers full blast to some fast, uplifting tunes at 6 in the morning to get me pumped for the day.
goes well with a cupa coffee before another day of school.

I do that too sumtimes.

It wasnt the point i was makin though but ITZ ALL GUD!

Hardcore does motivate/adrenilim, but i ment that a track sounds even better, once youve done something cool while listening, so u associate the track with the cool thing u did. (wow listen to me! I sound smart) Like my run.

Does that make sense to anyone?

Totaly know what ya mean, you put some hardcore while getting into it with ur girlfriend and for some reason she says, and i quote" you perfomed better tonite" so my only conclusion is, it had to be the hardcore.

^^^ Yeah you're right. According to the psychological behaviourist view, if 2 stimuli (football and music) are combined, the 2nd stimulus will be conditioned with the response from the 1st (the awesome feeling of playing well and scoring a goal). So everytime you listen to the music you will be 'reminded' of the feeling from the football. Classical Conditioning.

Btw, im not trying to show off its just I do A level psychology. Tis quite interesting.

i wonder...if i listen to some hardcore during a test, if it'd help me do better on it compared to if i weren't to be listening to it.
and if i happen to ace the test, the tune would sound even better because then everytime i'd hear it, i'd be like that's the tune that helped me ace the test! =P it's a possibility.
